Mr. Ahmad is currently working as a Board Member and Director of Treaty & Structured Solutions with Afro-Asian Insurance Services Ltd (a Lloyd’s accredited reinsurance intermediary) at its headquarters in London. He has the overall responsibility to provide leadership and direction to the treaty business of Afro-Asian group across the African continent.

He carries a solid 15+ years of global reinsurance experience spanning across underwriting, broking and risk management roles. Prior to joining Afro-Asian, Mr. Ahmad had served GIC Re in India and Africa. He was the first Chief Underwriting Officer at GIC Re South Africa Ltd and had successfully established the company on African soil.

He has remained associated with African Insurance & Reinsurance Industry for more than 10 years and is passionate about tracking the global reinsurance market developments and developing contemporary & innovative reinsurance solutions for African reinsurance buyers.
